O Mere Dil Ke Chain – Kishore Kumar

O Mere Dil Ke Chain – Kishore Kumar | Guitar Chords

O Mere Dil Ke Chain is one of the most memorable romantic songs from the 1972 Hindi film Mere Jeevan Saathi. The song was sung by Kishore Kumar, composed by R. D. Burman, with lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

Its gentle melody makes it an excellent choice for acoustic guitar.

Guitar Tip

The most important thing with this song is not to over-strum. The original melody has a very smooth, flowing character.

For a more beautiful acoustic version, try playing the first line of each verse with light fingerpicking, then move into the D-DU-DU pattern for the refrain.

A useful practice progression is:

G → Em → Am → D → G

Once this becomes comfortable, the song will feel very natural on an acoustic guitar.
